The LSU Law Center and other colleges around the LSU campus have teamed up to create a 3+3 program that allows students to receive a bachelor’s degree and a law degree in six years. The program provides a cost-effective and expeditious way for qualified students to earn both degrees.

College of Humanities and Social Sciences

LSU Law’s first 3 + 3 program began in Fall 2015 with the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Students follow a prescribed curriculum to complete their major coursework as well as all other required courses for a bachelor’s degree in three years. During junior year, students who meet the LSU Law Center’s entrance requirements can apply for admission. ?If accepted, students would be eligible to begin study at the LSU Law Center during their fourth year at LSU, during which completed coursework will count toward the final year of the undergraduate degree as well as the first year of the law degree.

Manship School of Mass Communication

Go from the classroom to the courtroom. The communication skills you will develop at Manship — skills you’ll put into practice from your very first class at the LSU Law Center — will lay a strong foundation for future legal writing and research. Best of all, the 3+3 Pre-Law Program can get you there faster and better prepared while also saving time and money.?

College of the Coast and Environment

educates tomorrow’s workforce and leaders, undertakes interdisciplinary discovery, and improves the understanding of the interaction between complex human and natural systems, particularly in coastal regions. With this partnership between LSU Law and the College of the Coast and Environment, students interested in the growing field environmental law are able to graduate faster and be better prepared for their career.
